Summerfest

Milwaukee's biggest festival is Summerfest held downtown on the lake every summer around the 4th of July.  Summerfest brings in huge acts on their main stage as well as quite a few very well known acts on the lesser stages.  We received tickets to Luke Bryan, with Brothers Osborne opening and so decided to take off work early to wander the other stages and find food beforehand.

Here are a few photos wandering the Summerfest grounds:
TMJ4 was ready for any storms that might roll in.

The police were keeping a close eye on anyone who dared to rent a paddleboat.

This was still early on before the bulk of the crowds arrived.

Here is where you buy your aspirin and earplugs.

It's getting busier here about 6:20 p.m.

There were all kinds of little stages like this all over.

These guys were really good:

Soul Asylum was at the Miller Lite Oasis stage.  Here is a video and some photos:

You know it is loud when the sound guy wears earplugs!

Brothers Osborne opened for Luke Bryan at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater.

Here are some photos from the Luke Bryan concert:

During the Luke Bryan concert, they had a fireworks display (that was originally intended for opening night, except it was cancelled opening night due to storms).
